A school instructor and his family reportedly attempted to sacrifice a three-12 months-vintage house in the Udalguri district to decrease Assam on Saturday. However, their plans were hindered when the locals intervened and informed the police and media. The instructor and his son had been injured in firing by the police, who tried to govern the situation, a police official stated.
The situation turned violent whilst humans of Ganakpara village within the district informed the police and the media after noticing smoke emanating from the trainer’s residence.
The police said the locals complained that on reaching the trainer’s house, they noticed contributors of the family, which include women, disrobing themselves and even chanting prayers after putting the woman on a sacrificial altar.
According to the locals, a priest armed with an extended sword turned into looking to sever the kid’s head.
The villagers claimed that they requested their own family to spare the kid. However, the participants continued chanting, and the priest threatened to attack the locals with a machete and an awl.
When the police and media personnel tried to intrude, the family individuals commenced hurling stones and utensils and even set fire to their bike, vehicle, tv set, and fridge.
The police then fired 5 rounds into the air to carry the scenario under control and rescued the kid from the clutches of the circle of relatives.
