ALLAHABAD: A research scholar of the Centre of Science and Society (Rural Technology and Development) of Allahabad University, Brijesh Kumar Pandey, has bagged a summertime internship in the Fisheries subject Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, New Delhi. The internship can be of three months duration, knowledgeable Prof Anupam Dikshit, coordinator, AU’s Centre of Science and Society and director, faculty recruitment cellular of the primary varsity.
Presently, Brijesh is pursuing his studies under Shashi Kant Shukla, the assistant professor of the Centre of Science and Society (Rural Technology and Development), AU. His research region includes conservation and social entrepreneurship through indigenous fish production. A month back, he was also provided with the Best Poster Presentation award through the Botanical Survey of India, Central Region Allahabad.
Brijesh stated that he became excited to undergo a one-month internship in the ministry and shared that he started his work on social entrepreneurship with the inducement of Prof Anupam Dikshit, who takes the problem of entrepreneurship severely and initiated work in this regard at a pond of Keshwapur village using deputing Brijesh. The proprietor Hubal became strolling in loss because the remaining three years and Brijesh not most effectively helped him cover his loss but made him earn earnings.
Prof Dikshit says “Fishes are exceptionally nutritious and a large wide variety of humans consume it. So this career may be a powerful tool in poverty eradication”, stated Prof Dikshit.
CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana High Courtroom has directed a private veterinary college, the International Institute of Veterinary Education and Research, Rohtak, which is an affiliated private college of the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Hisar to provisionally admit the scholars for internship program without insisting upon price.
A division bench headed by Justice Daya Chaudhary has exceeded those orders while listening to the petition filed via Naveen and a few other college students against the decision of the college to rate exorbitant fees for a month’s internship program.
The bench has also directed the university and the non-public university to record its reply on the problem within weeks.
The petitioner informed the HC that the non-public university had a constant fee of Rs 185600 for the control quota and Rs 98100 for the internship length of the BVSc & AH Programme batch 2014. The issue was raised through the scholars, and the committee became constituted by using the state of Haryana to inspect the matter of Internship fees and allowance. In its meeting held on June 21, the committee determined the problem in favor of personal university maintaining that the rate demanded via the private university is justified.
Aggrieved from this, 20 students have approached the HC alleging an exorbitant internship rate charged through the International Institute of Veterinary Education and Research, Rohtak, and fixation of a lesser quantity of Internship allowance.
Counsel Sardavinder Goyal, performing for the students, pointed out that no coaching services are to be provided through the college for six months of internship. As an alternative, the internees shall assist the teacher in all sports gadgets they may be posted in. The internees will be available for emergency offerings, nighttime obligations in hospitals, or even on Saturdays or Sundays.
Therefore, charging a big rate for the internship period is not justified, but the charging committee did not heed this. A fee fixed by using the committee is beyond college students’ capability; it also amounts to profiteering, the recommend has argued.
BHUBANESWAR: The higher schooling department on Friday issued a notification to instructors of all authorities and aided non-government schools inside the state to carry out their obligation for at least seven hours.
“All teachers published in government and aided non-government faculties of the nation, such as the important, shall perform the duty for a minimum of seven hours on each operating day,” the notification said.
The directive is, however, now not extended to visitor teachers.
The notification said that the teachers would dedicate time to the library, research, and extra classes, apart from the usual teaching paintings.
The training department also made seventy-five in step with cent attendance compulsory for the students.
“College students must attend at least seventy-five consistent with cent of the instructions, failing which they shall now not be allowed to seem in the long run-time period exam,” said the notification.
The attendance of the scholars might be monitored on a month-to-month basis, and mothers and fathers of people who fail to attend 75 in keeping with cent of the training might be contacted, the notification read. (ANI)
